By the bottom of the 6th, the Benchwarmers team was losing with a score of 42-0. . The three accepted the offer and started beating all the best youth teams in their game. The film Benchwarmers is about three guys who stood up to bullies in the behalf of the athletically-challenged kids out there. Though the three friends loves to play baseball, their baseball buddies have been treating them like losers ever since they started to set foot on the diamond field. However, in the final game of the movie, the trio did not play. Mel was also a nerd when he was young and was bullied too.
In the process, they became the heroes to the clumsy, bullied and awkward everywhere. Nelson hit a home run. One day, the three guys went to the local park to play a little baseball. Gus, Clark and Richie then challenged the nine kids to a baseball game, three versus nine. A trio of guys try and make up for missed opportunities in childhood by forming a three-player baseball team to compete against standard children baseball squads. They let their teammates of awkward, clumsy and bullied children play the game for them.
The Benchwarmers storm the field celebrating because they were not shut out. He grew up to be a very rich man and has a son who is also athletically-challenged. Now they must train with the help of Mel to take on the most offensive and meanest youth baseball teams. As a result, they have been taunted and bullied all their lives by the people who have excellent athletic abilities with bad attitudes. Surprisingly, it is their turn to humiliate the athletic bullies this time.
The three gave the kids a chance to compete. Clark, Gus and Richie are branded by their peers as geeks.
