The frozen items including desktop items, taskbar and start menu on your computer will work properly now! I clicked on the Start Menu also, nothing again.
I also can not close any Browser windows. Then when it gets to the desktop the mouse icon moves but it doesn't allow me to click on anything. I did install Avast several days ago. I'm having the same issue. This can make helping you impossible. It was a securom entry. I start my computer in normal mode and it starts loading fine.
Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver. As of now I don't have this issue but I might be able to help if you can clarify what's going on. I don't know when this started but I recently had to do a factory restore and as I am a gamer I have installed several games since said restore, any help woulfd be greatly appreciated. I will probably just do a system restore in an hour or two. If the add-ons did not fix the problem the issue also could be in the security setting.

I am going to be copying and pasting from another forum that I posted on because this issue is complex and has a lot of variables that aren't adding up for me. This will schedule a chkdsk for the next time you restart, and try to repair any errors it finds.
I want my desktop back the way it should be. Hi ,, Can you be more specific on where and when this issue comes up?? When I boot up my computer I can not access anything on my desktop but my weather widget. I tried running a program that used to be fine works fine in Safe mode that seemed to be a stopping point if I tried to use it lately. If you can the next step is to start enabling each add-on that you want and repeat. Everything is accessible through explorer, but the desktop context menu simply doesn't open.
What's really weird though is that if I right click just the background of my desktop not pointing to any particular icon the right click appears to function properly. I use Autodesk Maya a lot, and with how the program works it separates each area. A small pop-up will appear for a shortime while running the command. As if there was an invisible window covering the desktop. . I pushed it as hard as I could, opening 20 media player windows playing divx at the same time, and still didn't do it so I suppose that's the problem. The starnge thing is that this only effects standard shortcuts and not system icons like my computer, my user folder my recycle bin, and even my Steam icon! How can I fix this? If it finds nothing, think fresh install sadly.
