The kids ended up liking this one better than Curious George 3. Professor Wiseman is set to launch B. And if you watch the show, it seems like Professor Wiseman and the Man with the yellow hat kind of have a relationship. Can George warn Betsy in time? George's eyes, Gnocchi's nose, and Hundley's ears provide the memory clues they need to figure out the way back. We enjoy the soundtrack enough that we purchased it seperately and listen to it for downtime.
I think he likes the flow of Jack Johnson songs and giggles when george plays peekaboo in the beginning also on the plus side it doesnt drive me crazy. But things soon go haywire, and George must rectify the situation, crash-land, make new friends, and find the loot. Its cute, but my son didnt care for it. Ill stick with the original movies and seasons of episodes. Joined by the daring flyboy Chuck Monkey, the dynamic duo use propeller power as they race towards the finish line. In some episodes of the show George does good things as well; in one episode he built a igloo.
Also, George and the Man with the Yellow Hat are excited to visit the Clown College for Pepe El Loco's Big Show. They sure hooked up with the right musician, though! But it was only a couple dollars. The journey was fun and entertaining, though, which is what I was expecting from the movie. And we watch the show almost every morning. So, my almost 3 year old sat and watched all 1 hour and 27 minutes of this movie, including the closing credits. There's mild suspense but nothing likely to scare sensitive kids. I find myself singing along with Jack Johnson. The content is well suited for the graphics and age group. The soundtrack is nice and relaxing and the movie is light-hearted and not too instense or scary. The show takes place in two locations, the big city and the country house; in both locations George creates trouble. They are really creative and make fun of never saying his name.

George is still happy George. There were times in the movie where the man with the yellow hat would get mad at George. Just a word of caution my daughter loves to imitate George so she goes around the house acting like a monkey! There is a lot of great lessons in the movie like in the shows and a lot of cute music too. Maybe it's since we fell in love with the George characters on the show, but the characters in the movie aren't the same.
For the kids, I don't think they really care. My son will sometimes get upset if the tone of a movie is intense or frightening even if he doesn't understand it, and we have no problens with this one. But a sleepy monkey falls asleep and wakes to discover that he and the Man with the Yellow Hat are going to Mars! My three-year-old has watched this movie over a hundred times and has never once asked me about what kidnapping or murder is, but when he does, I will respond with the truth, since these things do happen in real life, why not deal with it when the source is a harmless movie? Knew I had to buy this dvd for our motorhome trip. Well this was a huge waste or our time and money. But when they accidentally ruin the nose on the dragon costume, it's a race against the clock to fix it in time.
This one is worn out enough now that I have to soon replace it if that helps anyone. There really wasn't anything scary in it for the kids although I was very surprised at the scene with Ted chasing after the train. Additionally, George must encounter new experiences and solve problems in a new way, which gives viewers a window into making new friends and trying new things in situations that might seem scary at first. I think it is better that that way for the sake of continuity. I thought this would be great too yet I was so wrong. Will George's recipe keep the deer away or make them hungry for more? He will watch episodes and the Christmas movie all day long if i would let him. Also, George and Allie are determined to help Howie the Hog win a blue ribbon at the state fair, but the portly pig doesn't like to train for the competition. This time, George rockets into space on a one-monkey mission, then goes on to the jungle to save the day.
